Avais has dedicated years to mastering the art of Persian carpets, bringing a wealth of expertise to the industry. Growing up in Hong Kong, he considered the carpet shop on 265 Queen’s Road East his second home. By 17, he had already established his own carpet business in Repulse Bay. His academic journey led him to study interior architecture, followed by a career in corporate interior design spanning Hong Kong and the United States. Today, Avais proudly upholds his family's legacy, ensuring Hong Kong continues to receive exceptional carpets and reliable service—an enduring tradition since 1952.

Since relocating from Pakistan to Hong Kong in 1990, Raza has been a vital part of the business. Under Ilyas's mentorship, he was embraced like family, accompanying him on buying trips and gaining deep expertise in the world of carpets. Today, Raza channels his extensive knowledge into his role as the showroom sales manager at Al-Shahzadi HK. He remains active in sourcing fine carpets and takes pride in fostering lasting relationships with loyal customers both locally and internationally.

Al-Shahzadi HK takes pride in the care of your carpet even after it leaves the store. We offer washing and repair, shipping, upgrades, appraisals, as well as advice and consultations.
Washing and Repair

Al-Shahzadi HK provides professional hand-washing and repair on all hand-woven carpets. There are many variables that determine the length of time and price of cleaning, such as the extent of wear and type of stain. On average, cleaning of your carpet will take two weeks.

Upgrades

If you purchase a Persian (Iranian) carpet from Al-Shahzadi HK, we have an upgrade program, which allows you to upgrade to a finer quality carpet. Please inquire for more details.

Appraisals

Al-Shahzadi HK offers free evaluations and appraisals for carpets purchased from us. Carpets not purchased from Al-Shahzadi HK are subject to an appraisal fee.
